Coles and the supermarkets and the CAFO’s and the farmers – the losers the animals and the public

It came about because of power
corrupted by the need
for profit for shareholders
its really how they feed
into the whole scenario
and of course these souls
who eat
animals most every day
its no longer the treat
it was say 50 years ago
before the super stores
hit the high streets
to the trumpet sounds
amd the applause

its quite a revolution
the small shops were closed down
the hyper super market stores
took over the town
like dinosaurs that gobbled
up all the smaller feed
and crippled all the others
and left them just to bleed

farmers they were next in line
crippled by out grades
crippled by the prices
the corporates crushed their trade
injecting their vast profits
into buildings, they
crippled farmers, shop keepers
more fell by the day

and so in came the concentrated
animal farming operatives
corporates heartless sods
their CEO’s robotic creeps
who believed that they were gods
making commodities of animals
and staff who worked there too
farmers lost their markets
power corrupts the soul
the supermarkets dealt the cards
and on the high street took control

its went from bad to terrible
as more farmers hit the wall
cooperatives are struggling
the voiceless one and all
are suffering as the corporates
consumed by all their power
ethics on the back burner
in the shadows cower

so many, of the public
haven’t got a clue
they swallow advertising
like all of it, is true
and now coles in the land of Oz
comes out on the souls
the animals the voiceless ones
subjected to controls

subjected to the cruelty
that those corporates created
really all the CEO’s
ought to be sedated
farmers have gone to the wall
the corner shops have too
all now passed their sell by date
there’s very very few

left, to sweep the crumbs up
and Coles jumps up and down
tells their customers what is happening
in CAFO’s earthlings drown

Gestation crates and Batteries
designed to make the dosh
and now they come out and admit
some of it was green wash

of course it puts the backs up
standing in two camps
having made the margins
heralding the champs

CAFO’s they are evil
its just they have such power
that even the big supermarkets
get into a row

with them for they are massive
their power is ultimate too
now they hold the market share
there’s little we can do

but compliment the dinosaurs
for jumping on the backs
of other dinosaurs it seems
helping those attacks
aiming at the jugular
but really making do
with nibbling the buttocks
till some just break in two.
