It happened in Bala

There she was
Just in front of us
All by herself
Waddling along
In her crazy attire
Not very colourful
Unlike her beau
Feeling our presence
And hoping we’d go
Sloshing through puddles
She was strapped and alone
As we crept slowly passed her
We hoped that she’d known
We were not here to harm her
Observing her gait
But Wondering honestly
Where was her mate.?
