Our extended family

Cotswold’s arms caressed us all
As we knelt down on the sod
We took on the power of being
Took on the rope and were shod
To walk the grassy meadows
In search of tree and thorn
Marvel at the silent groves
From whence we all were born

We became an extended family
The henge the dolmen we
Searchers of the mysteries
The solstice light we see
We feel
We breathe
We of the circle know
We are as one
My sisters and brothers
When this day is done
The flow
Of energy is with us
Behold the coming sun
The great warmth we engender
Its eternal glow
Doth stun.

Winter solstice 4.27 this day
