The syrian Independence flag
to the edge of the earth it flies
uplifting all those spirits
the freedom of the wise
a privilege to be a part
of this glorious country where
the people seek emancipation
out of the dark despair
individuality in question
day and night
roadblocks set up everywhere
their self rule out of sight
free born free bred people
subjected to such pain
such evil suck frustration
enslavement and again
subjugated disciplined
oppressed tamed said to be
restrained restricted and prevented
living their lives as free
