Pig Hell in Potchstroom South Africa

A farm well thats what it was called

but so run down, so bad

150 pigs were housed there

and what they found was sad

the women who owned the place

had gone away a while

no fresh water no fresh food

farming with no style

farming with no empathy

no compassion here

56 dead pigs they found

rotting none that far

away they just dropped down like flies

and brought the maggots fast

those that lived through all of this

their bloody die was cast

they had to drink their own urine

and eat the rotting meat

goats and sheep and chickens

and geese  lay at their feet

the place was thoroughly filthy

the water dirty too

this was hell on earth for pigs

and she didn’t have a clue

Thandi Modise was her name

the owner who went away

and left the poor things just to die

and some just rot away

can you just imagine

such a thoughtless heartless sod

who goes away and leaves her farm

to the environment and God

and of course no one could help her

for nobody did know

they must have died in agony

as her arrogance did grow

so neglected
