Greece 2012 till 2014 some of the canine and feline disasters

This has been a terrible two years

Greece has lapsed in fact

so many animals slaughtered

how does the world react

the severity the rigidity

the suppression of a breed

the violence and the oppression

the pitilessness indeed

shot and poisoned

hung and tortured

crimes committed there

bodies  moving in the waves

which lead on to despair

murdered thrown into the sea

to let the currents throw

bust and break these innocent souls

who are sent up from below

up  trees you find them tied with wire

or hanging choked and gone

their eyes are bulging

all that pain

and just left there upon

some tree thats born from energy

and has to bear this pain

share the victims horror

all of it again

limbless cats a peering

with those doleful eyes

clearly in such terror

the look of complete surprise

of shock of being frightened

not knowing who to trust

trapped inside some hoop or can

we know how needs must

mangy strays so pitiful

flea ridden scratched alive

bleeding from vast areas

how can they survive

all this fearsome skin protuberance

all this dreadful pain

nobody seems to want them

most have gone insane

sick and dying

frightened not prepared to let

anybody near them

they were, once, somebody’s pet

but streetlife and  the gutter

tempers those that do

the rounds and get the kickings

and the starvings nothings new

head rolling and banging

dormant sickly they

the whimpering breed

are hurting

lost souls in every way

Greece is shocked and dying

its people clearly are

doing things to cats and dogs

double edged they scar

Satan must be watching

Nemesis must be too

the gods are frightfully upset

and what the greeks now do

punitive  and persecuted

all around the place

the third degree

it has to be

for its just one huge disgrace

 I can’t start to imagine

what the animals must feel

their little faces sunken

and what that does reveal

is feeling completely let down

by the unkind sods who roam

no compassion in their spirit

no empathy in their home

running wild and feral

is seemingly the way

for animals to prosper

in a place of dark dismay

what will become of Greece

its people who knows I think they

must rot in hell the lot of them

for all this pain they pay

a price the gods reflecting

on the cruelty they see

Nemesis and Anubis enlivened

suddenly

to strike down all the perpetrators

let them understand

that the great Mother

will be marching right across the land

dealing out the agony the cruelty and the pain

and Greece may never surface

as a great Nation again

those who take their umbrage

on the animals

will suffer the most immeasurably of woe

and what we have witnessed coming out of Greece

in our hearts ofcourse we really know

they took the canine tribes

and have offended

every peaceful soul around the place

from their dark frustration

and their killing of creation

they must expect the worst

in time and space
