Found in the River Colne

I want to try and imagine

the torment and the strife

A German Shepherd

in Huddersfield

went through

when he lost his life

to utter human vileness

of the inhuman kind

who were anything dreadful

who suffered the discomfort

the evil that is man

when a rope was tied around his neck

with 3 weights

and it began

being carried and being thrown into

the River Colne and weir

and drowning in that murky water

unable to pull clear

someone planned the murder

someone carried it out

and 3 arrests have happened

if there was any doubt

a gentle soul has lost his life

drowned near Huddersfield

and hopefully whoever did this

a case soon they will build

and put this scum away a while

let them know that we

hope they get a period

to contemplate and be

able then to live their lives

without the constant fear

of seeing that dog in their dreams

because its very clear

you could not ever escape that fact

however much you try

the conscience clearly  trouble you

until the day you die
