“Blackfish”

How ignorant were all those trainers

youngsters taken on all were

wanting to be part of something

wonderful, something to stir

their heart strings

to create horizons

far beyond what they had thought

was possible

for them along the way

yes they had sought

to come and work for Sea World

with Orca’s  the great soul

plucked from pods

that roamed the world

this was to be their goal

to bring into the entertainment business

these cash cows

who would affect the balance sheet

and build enormous towers

of popularity

and people coming through their doors

at Sea World so much money hurled

and of course to great applause

and riches could be manifest

in what was  a few hours

and so they trained or brainwashed

the people with their powers

employed them, let them

realize, their strengths and they

could rely

on the showmanship and the knowledge

for clearly they would fly

so they put their hearts and souls into the job

hoping to win

the hearts and minds of people

inside them so much spin

TILIKUM the great male

had been  captured yes before

But Sea World left him lonely

and, chose to  ignore

a great beast who was savaged

by the females in the cell

whose heart was broken

by the way he was treated

in this Hell

fed on dead fish made to work

his fins off for a life

and subjected to a hell hole

littered with pure strife

the Orca heart was massive

the Orca brain was too

he was feeling so down trodden

by what Sea World did do

and so resentment built up in him

through his DNA

that he

passed on

through sperm he gave

to others  along the way

Deaths ensued and injuries

and  mishaps, for we know

the details most were covered up

his resentment, though did grow

and so with Sea World raking in

the profits

a film, was

made called “BLACKFISH” an account

of reality because

clearly there was arrogance

so much of it, around

and reality had to replace

the mirage on the ground

Sea World has retaliated

saying of course, that  they

were nothing of the sort

they brought great knowledge

all the way

to the hearts and minds of people

who came through their door

the Orca’s had a great life

like they never had before

this was utter arrogance

and ignorance of course

but the  world of high finance

and corporate strength

was a force

the ethic or imprisonment

is lost in all that power

and the victims are the

Orca’s and the trainers

hour on hour

they tried to blame her anyway

others who had been injured

it was covered up

the day

may come, who knows when

Tilikum will be released back to the sea

and all the other Orca’s

when the world will then be free

of the sinful acts of torture

of a species from the wild

who took on that awful mantle

and were forcibly defiled

who were treated just as lumbering beasts

with little emotion and they

served their time

but made the climb

and made their captors pay

The problem is that corporate’s

have lost the sense of care

its money money money

of that they are aware

the capture of wild beasts

its not a factor in their life

its lost within their structure

hence the Orca’s strife

Inspired by the film on BBC4 this week

saw it on playback last night

I must watch it some day on  the big screen
