Bloody awful ivory ( Leave those tusks alone)

A tusk is what the elephant was given
by creation
its not something that should be stolen by us
that’s desecration
its evil and its selfish
and a ghastly thing to do
to kill a great soul
perhaps the greatest
with thoughts that are askew
we labour at the behest of Chinese crooks who earn
money, yes and lots of it
but somehow we discern
the reason why
this theory became the money spinner
because we are just low life
each one of us a sinner
we would rather murder a wondrous beast
begrudging it of its tool
really its precisely that
and it makes look the fool
with great value for the elephants
not some carved up curio
remember the elephants are great souls
its something we need to know
and anything made of murdered tusks
will bring such bad luck too
the own best believe this
