Cats

Cats are being slaughtered
in their millions
its their independent nature
many see
they have the right more so than any human
to roam around just any property

clearly they all know their special
territory
but often they extend that anyway
if neighbours are kind
and like to talk to them
then clearly that’s another place
to play

and they really like to roam and just
be curious. and many do get lost
it seems to me
rounding up these cats
and simply killing them
is bordering on a sort
of lunacy

the concept we should help
these cats continue
living in and around
the places we
live I think is
really very sensible
though mice and rats will possibly
not agree

so cats are natural predators
and rodents on the street
will I think be kept at bay
for roaming cats eat meat
thats a good thing too I say
and volunteers who catch them
to be neutered and or spayed
and then release them is to me
worth every cent that’s paid

and worth all the time and effort
it saves a life and we
must stop this massive killing
of cats
the killing spree
is final and its tragic
for cats enjoy good life
every individual
should expect a life now free of strife

so let us stop the proliferation
process
the buy a cat
and toss it on the street
cats are very loving
and give back a lot of loving
of course they are carnivores
and they do eat meat

but animal lovers everywhere should realise
the cat is here to stay
and we should be
loving towards every animal
earthling
for they give back
so much love
and every day.
