Chaining elephants in circus and zoo’s is so wrong( Posted on India Times too)

For an elephant
a circus must be Hell on earth
and zoo’s with concrete paddocks
let us say
how is it we can ever support
such vile imprisonment
we must know in our hearts
its not the way
just look into their eyes
their eyes will tell you
their broken hearts
are evidence enough
surely we as sentiants
can recognize the misery
and how our sad decision
were so tough
bedraggled and forlorn
why is it puzzling
chained up in some open pound
they be
a mother and a baby
wretched is their outlook
its cruelty from all of us actually
