Confinement for pets is killing them

I am an animal lover
I campaign every day
Birds in cages the reason why
they cannot fly away
but they have wings
dear lover of birds
so why the cage?
where’s the living forest
that, leaves me with a rage
The goldfish in the bowl
poor thing
how do you think he feels
coming our of some sparkling stream
what all this reveals
is you are just a prison guard
for your so called pet
whose in solitary confinement
what a horrid debt he pays
just to be a friend
given the chance
I bet he wishes
it all comes to an
end
confinement for a small soul
or any soul is bad
don’t buy into this business
its all to bloody sad
