A question of ethics

How is it some see fur
as something they would like to wear?
and others see the creature
it was torn from, and the despair
some seem dead from the neck up
wearing animals skin
hair and feathers even karakui
which must begin
to coax the truest feelins
from everyone who knows
that a mother is cut open
and her baby that now grows
is ripped out of her body and the skin
of course is used
its fine just like a baby
and all being abused

and someone somewhere wears it
despite the awful stress
In China Cats and Dogs
are simply hung up on a hook
alive and kicking
and a licking
and stripped of fur
they look
frighteningly monstrous
their bodies soaked in blood
and lymph and ghastly mucous
and then we hear a thud

as anothher dying soul is lobbed
onto a heap and they slowly
and in agony painfully pass away
this is how your fur is collected
from the living souls
cats and dogs and raccoons
and fox and wolves
on poles
they hang awaiting
torture
awaiting abject pain
and death the loss of breath
of course where blood there
falls like rain

Designers the world over
what is inside your hearts
why do you specify animals furs
and create these beastly carts
of bloody grotesque bodies
wheeled around the street
the residue of procuring fur
so the rich hags can compete

the starlets the pop singers
can roll about in fur
dead sweet innocent animals
some barked and some did purr
They were pets belonging to
some child yea somewhere
stolen off the streets
for a few weeks of despair

why is it some of you would lower
yourselves into the drain
and wear these awful dead skins
which some of course do gain
thousands of dollars actually
in profit for the few
prepared to work with blood and snot
and yea of course screw you

we have to now as human beings
realise that we
don’t look particularly wonderful
in dead skin, actually
it doesn’t help our bodies
look natural, not at all
a women in a bear skin
would drive me up the wall

women I see in fur coats
fur stoles and bits of trim
have got to come to terms
with what they buy
and not be dim
be thoughtful this is ugly nasty
evil trade and must
be stopped we must not wear this
it does it does disgust

The stars so called are manipulated
by the hangers on, who will
give a coat for nothing
and overlook the blood they spill
and starlets being starlets
might wear a nice free fur
but honest people seeing it
it really doesn’t spur

the intellect no not at all
it gets the shackles up
and the karmic debt is mounting
when they even kill a pup
a little dog he gets it
and the fur it will be used
every fur bearing animal
that’s alive is now abused

so if you have the chance to say
no if someone does ask
say no! fur is for animals
and just in the spotlight bask
