The Woodland at Ashridge near Berkhamsted

The woods
have so much promise
and so much History
walk a while
climb a stile
smell that mystery
of age old growth
and composting
of the finer scents of life
the shade, the light, the litter
the leaves, its just all there
the miracle of nature
for all of us to share
