The ghost dogs of Aspropyrgos(WHITE TOWER)

There are always angels everywhere
who see, and feel and know
that in amongst the junk that fills the
streets
of course they show
up the ghost dogs hopeful
of a bite to eat somewhere
a wagging tail a pat or two
instead of the despair
Aspropyrgos is evidence by the
man made Hell now there
and so many victims suffer
and of course it isn’t fair
but thrown out on the streets to fend
for themselves, is unkind
many die of course they do
others just go blind
bodies strewn about the streets
tell a ghastly tale
the hardship and the torture
it is a grisly trail
Greece is suffering terribly
and the animal earthlings know
they’ve become the victims
for they have just no place to go
thank goodness there are angels
who seemingly just show
and feed these ghosts who come out
of the fabric and who play
a while perhaps who taste some food
before they slink away
nutrition for their tortured souls
their tentativess one sees
anyone can be an angel
anyone can please

let’s take that that role on
lets go out this Christmas with
a little bag to feed
the wild folk
and the birds, all those lovely souls in need
