The world means nothing to them
they are lost souls anyway
stealing from the forest
from the larder
everyday
the pipers are the elephants
and orangutans and more
who now approach the villages
for food clearly unsure
where once there was abundance
and now food there is less
the habitat destroyed by Palm
and with that, comes much stress
the villagers trap elephants
holding them hostage for
some payment from the government
but nobody is sure
whether money will be forthcoming
its unlikely to be true
and so the little elephants
will not know what to do
this really is a sad tale
born out of frustration and
the villagers are not as au fait
with the products of the land
and so they damage the environment
and pull up trees and vines
which does upset the apple cart
and we can see those signs
