Its easy to see
the neglect and the care
for Rosalie’s suffered
in Hell which was where
some factory somewhere
she was on guard
not fed left for dead
and her sad life so hard
mange took its toll
you could see every bone
a wretched mauve skeleton
sitting alone
such a stench she gave off
and so sad did she look
so close to death
and she just shook
from the pain of it all
tossed off of a truck
and into the shelter
yea, passing the buck
a pitiful sight
to anyone’s eyes
bedraggled and hurt
who could, recognize
her as a dog
she was a, bag of bones
how had she been treated
clearly unknowns
she hadn’t been treated at all
it would seem
her whole life
had truthfully been a bad dream
immense discomfort
and such abject pain
4 years of neglect
her life down some drain
but her struggle to live
and fight till the end
with those workers who dumped her
their 4 legged friend
and they tried to run off
but were caught in a stare
with one of the workers
who just saw her there
emaciated terribly weak
sick to the soul
and incredibly sleek
left all alone
with no where to go
Rosalie poor Rosalie didn’t know
what would become of her now
but we see
she’s being nursed back to health
thankfully
