whales have been a singing
haunting melodies
across the many oceans
For all of time
despite iceland and Japan
and the fossil oils of man
oceans being silenced
they began
to work a sentient unconcern
apparently really apathetic to it all
spiritless meanderings
Vital tribulations
so many whales
had forgotten how to call
that awful ululation
ere lamenting
woebegone and ringing far away
a blubbering bewailing
behind them closely trailing
fossil oil production and their songs
Alas were missing from the actual spray.
