Phil Spencer

Such irreverence

such arrogance

that man decides that he

Has a right to kill a Deer

as his wild trophy

an actor in the public eye

Who has the weird idea

That its perfectly in order

to just kill a wild deer

what gives him the entitlement

who the hell is he

an unjustified assumption

That the  wildness all can see

he can take a rifle

and end this dear soul’s life

just because he wants to

not  take him with a knife

oh no a rifle from away away

this coward  won’t want its eyes

seeing his  that would not do

Wrongness  on the rise.

for me a murdering scumbag

that deer did nothing wrong

that deer was wild and where god put it

where it did belong

this heartless so called hunter

unfeelingly dispatched

remorselessly and relentlessly

an angelic life was snatched

on the grass picked up its head

its dead eyes  he could see

“I never will forget you”

his words, tragically

I now  will take you  home

and eat a steak or  two

lets hope the maggots

fill his guts

and turn them into stew
