She trusted us

We failed her
Our wickedness
And degradation
Our guilt and ungodliness
Became her salvation
To leave with her baby
And slip far away
To the great Rainbow Bridge
Where the unfallen lay
In a state of grace
Unversed and naive
She was laid to rest
and the rest of us grieve
What became of the wilful
The sinful the vile
His iniquitous act
Will he soon get his trial
And live out his transgression
Possibly so
This miscreant human
The lowest of the low
