Despite the tears
Despite our fears
Despite the pain we feel
Iceland keeps its relentless
Murdering spree
Its very real
A millionaire
Who is so aware
Decided he would kill
Endangered fin whales
Because he could
Their blood he wants to spill
And it not because he is hungry
Nor Iceland needs to eat
Its because he is making money.
for him its one big treat
His country is selling whale watching
Packages
To tourists far away
Ethics went out the window
Apparently the day
They came into being
For endangered fin whales do
Cut up rather easily
And make profit
Easily too
They ship them off to Japan
We hear
Boxes at a time
And this poem I have written
For the whales
Not for the slime
Who catches and who murders them
The ships called HVALUR 9
Two ships ply the waters
For the japanese to dine
The sadness is all mine
