They milk society with their cruelty

somehow the dairy operatives
Are low life, seems to me
They kick the hell out of
Exhausted cows
Who cry out terribly
We have to realise how much
Abuse they get and why
Milked to death for humans
Whilst their calves have to die

Many of these mothers
Cannot walk a single pace
They are crippled with arthritis
Look into their face
Their lives have been.
Intolerable
Morning noon and night
Beaten Till they are black and blue
With all the farmers might

Dragged along a rope around their heads
And necks they be
Almost strangled in dire straits
Of what is such
This abuse so horrific
No empathy is shown
Exposure to this terror
Is clearly full blown

There is noble distinction
An optimism, they
Are amazingly light hearted
In a charming sort of way
Unruffled and quite placid
Exalted to be sure
With a kindness and a loving
That stems from out of their core

Despite the inexcusable
Man abuses and
Apparently is incumbent
Though fails to understand
The cows take such a thrashing
Such a bashing this is their
Way of getting through this
And helping them to bear

The worst of man’s deception
The cruelty he let’s
His low life operative dairymen
Answer to the debts
Neglect takes on a toughness
For both parties you’ll agree
The dairy is an evil place
Not so most now would see

And milk maids with their golden hair
Their aprons and their tights
Their pretty pink cheeks all a glow
Which the outside world invites
One has to try to comprehend
Why abused cows are still
Giving so much of themselves
And apparently will still

And why they take the torture
And The beatings
as they do
Why they do not retaliate
And try to run them through
Crush them with their massive bulk
Generate some fear
It’s just not in their makeup
That seemingly is clear

the dairy has a public face
Of decency
But we must brace
Ourselves for truth and honesty
And what appears now tragically
To be the real case Violence does
Permeate the sheds a buzz
An overwhelming eruptive flame
An agency one and the same
