Theo a little lost soul

he was under a trailer

out in the street

his owners had moved away

hardly discreet

left him

forgot him

he was on his own

nothing in reality he’d

ever known

tousled and torn

his dreadlocks were thick

begging for food

incredibly sick

of people

a being unkind to him

he

went into himself

in attempts to be free

squealing and yelping

to patting and touch

something he clearly

missed very much

a snippet of love

was all they did need

for Theo to come out of his shell

and succeed

who were those owners

who left him to die

where do they live now

heartless so why

and how did he stay the course

because he was strong

and found someone to love him

for he’d done nothing wrong
