Have you gnomes of Zurich
and the rest of you all seen
and heard a vast rainforest
so alive and green
buzzing with creation
blooming with true life
imagine it
all torn down YOU imagine
all that strife
all those orangutans
they panic
there is, no where to go
the elephants they bolt
like mad
it comes as such a blow
trees are hanging every which way
places are on fire
death is all around you
the scenery is dire
did it never dawn on you
the power the forest held
the energy within it
before you went and felled
but ticking flipping boxes
in Brussels it what you do
is send the great destroyers in
to tear it it down for you
you should go and see it, smell it
feel it, be
part of it sweat a bit
open your minds and see
it took a thousand years or more
to manifest it all
and you with your flipping bulldozers
in a short time they all fall
and with it goes our future
our lungs are stripped away
the wild one’s scream their hearts out
and what do you lot say
you just, tick some more boxes
and go back home to bed
comfortable with a glass of Chardonnay
and all you said
the animals on the other hand
they perish or they find
somewhere in oblivion
you see nobody’s blind
only you lot
creating
exploitation every where
bankers who destroy us all
people who don’t care
its a huge great gamble that you make
and it doesn’t bring me joy
and no one knows the whereabouts
of those you do employ
Palm oil Bio fuel spelling the end
of forests where
bio diversity suffers
life becomes despair
its proving to the rest of us
that you have not got a clue
and unless you go and see it for yourselves
what we will do
is realise your worthless
there is no hope for you
our children will pick up the bill
as the overdrafts accrue
pollution raining down on us
one must begin to share
we were cutting off our noses
to spite your face
so there
by now the worms are chewing
on most of us its true
our children will pick up your bills
run they can never do
their breathing is so terrible
their hearts are broken by
the lack of flipping oxygen
and the resounding screams of WHY?
