Madeleine Pickens and her Mustangs

She’s married to an energy
multi billionaire
but has a heart of gold
and clearly wants to share
her knowledge and his money
to save the mustangs for
so many are being slaughtered
for meat
and she is sure

this is an iconic and noble soul
that needs a helping hand
to run the open prairies
and so secured some land
she owns a ranch a massive place
and the stallions now do roam
saved from slaughter all of them
and can call this place their home

but again despite her money
she is finding ranchers who
want the grass for cattle
not wild horses that won’t do
so they then deny them water
hoping they will die
but Mrs Pickens is fighting hard
and giving it a try

its positive and lovely
a resort to save the horse
to get the people learning
what a wondrous force
the mustang is in history
but the ranchers do not care
for history the mystery
is that they will never share

and so she’s up against it
but intends to fight her way
and save just every Mustang
she can and let them play
out there run like crazy
kick up the dust and go
their energy is wonderful
and such thoughts appear to grow

the internet is helping
its gets the message out
but the ranchers are all powerful
and may have the lastt shout
