Sentinels in time
now guard
those azure blossoms
as a mist
Bluebell Woods
so many nodding souls
that nature does enlist
a cool cyanic labyrinth
that so beguiles the eye
that stretches through
the wooden vales
where oft a butterfly
may flutter by regardless
and taste the nectar sweet
drenched in summer sunlight
so warming to the feet
shaded by the early leaves
still being more discreet
about the way they cast their shade
and epitomise our treat
as lovers walking hand in hand
now take on and now see
such truly awesome colours
caress us and now be
festooning us with their beauty
making us realise
what comes in just a minute
can be really a disguise
what is of the moment
a sensational embrace
it may not be, there tomorrow
so really its a race
against time to remember
what Nature does extol
and what the lovers
can enjoy on going for their stroll
