There was a time
when “Angel” was a normal dog
led a normal life
then came the crunch
the bankster’s got their
dirty fingers into every pie
and the poor and all the animals
their glasses all ran dry
the people dumped their charges
some just strung them up
put them into dustbins
I mean to say a pup!
strung up on a tree
a dance of death a frantic death
they’re poisoning them in reality
mortgaging their breath
everywhere its chaos
streets dogs AND cats, we hear
all sorts of SICK atrocities
for them its abject fear
there are some good samaritans
feeding them but most
couldn’t care a monkeys
they’ve given up the ghost
Greece is on its uppers
there’s problems in the street
the Government is finding things
hard
trying to meet
deadlines imposed by Germany
and the European scene
bail outs,big doubts and unrest
everywhere the mean
have lots of lame excuses
nothing going to plan
the banks have had their fingers
in the pot
and ate the flan
they’ve scoffed it months and
months ago
not much around it seems
Greece a as a vibrant country
on face book there are reams
of cruelty being posted
so many it is true
Greece exposed its frantic
what people want to do
its lamentable
for Angel rIbs protruding through
her skin she looks so terrible
starving everywhere
and people poisoning them
as well
so a country of deapair
