Don’t ever drink and drive ( think of others)

Candy floss trees
are all the eye sees
in the forest of Ash ridge today
we must pay a bonus out to old Jack Frost
for his frost hasn’t melted away
it is very clear
that ice will re-appear
when its black, it feels scary
even the wary
need to be careful
gritted or not
a tree or a ditch
and that could be your lot
and if you’ve been drinking
the coppers might say
its your fault chum
and of course, you must pay
so take an old tip
from a Toastmaster who
won’t drink a drop
if he’s driving
a few
people they gamble
with other souls
who they might kill
gamble with heart
whose blood they might spill
Candy floss trees
and pavements of white
drive very slowly
get home safe tonight
