A real Christmas tree

Some imagine that branches
are all of a tangle
but if you look carefully, they
are very symmetrical
and very purposeful
in a most creative way
my Copper Beech clearly attracts
birds of a feather, for they
adorn it with life force
a true living tree
that stands in my garden
Today
its trunk is so strong
40 years its sweet song
has carried its branches aloft
its leaves in the Spring
helps my heart to sing
un yet they are so beautifully soft
its blossom is wistful and lovely
its nuts once again so attract
the wild folk who come for its bounty
this folks is really a fact
