A little Dogs Christmas message to his owner

I sat outside your house
Today
the steps were wet and cold
I pawed the door
yes several times
I couldn’t really reach your chimes
Jack Frost was clearly
promising
to brush us all with snow
I sat there dreaming, hoping, praying
that soon, you would show
I know I have a furry coat
but honest, I am cold
just sitting by the fire
on that, I am quite sold
curled,up on a soft carpet
or even on your bed
is better than this cold wet step
to lay my flipping head
