Primates are not a resource

“Can I stick a needle
in your eyeballs
Can I clip your teeth
and peel some skin
Can I drop you
into scalding water
I’ve a great big bucket
to drop you in
I don’t know what your crying for
you baby
Think your helping sick kids
and their mums
Can I squirt some toothpaste
in your left eye
and can I put some polish
on your gums
Leaping about the jungle
was more dangerous
living safely in a tiny cage
being fed,well when I do
remember
really why the temper ?
and the rage
Tomorrow we shall
shave you
yes all over
some electrodes
we intend to fit
then we’re going to shock
you
and do some more tests on you
then we’re going to starve
you for a bit
Can we stick a needle up
your nostrils
and squirt some fresh new virus
you should be
Happy that the Simian Tribe
has been chosen by the corporates
who earn their millions
and cause you agony

in your cage not big enough
to turn around
you see how much we think
of you, for we
don’t want you to fall down
and get injured
we need you on the slab
always healthy
clearly it is in your own
best interests
to always be around so we can try
to use you every single day
abuse you in our special way
that’s until the day
that you will die
that’s when you will be
cut up in pieces
and put in bottles
of formaldehyde
and we shall test your body
with all sorts nasty acids
but if asked about it
all will be denied
