Kuranda Train at Cairns

Both of them arranged for me

To get the earlier train

Saw me with a predicament

Too much time to try to kill

My booking times were

unreasonable

Freedom Oz was still

Not really on my case

infact

a lack of understanding

But these two did their best for me

And got me a safe landing

She wheeled me to the station

and the ticket I had had

Steven changed he just arranged

Coach 6 not 12 and said

You will be so much safer

and comfortable in there

Inside this lovely carriage

open to the air

Jocelyn went and got me water

and took my photo, she

was another of those angels

That around the place you see

She didn’t work for skytrain

Or Kuranda, but she saw

someone who was in need of help

That she could not ignore

Barron Falls was wonderful

upon greencrested sheer

Cliffs the might of water crashed

Shocked every ear

and mists rose from the water

Then |Bridle Gap and more

Waterfalls were evident

and gorges too galore

The gals in side the gold coach

plyed me with cold drinks

and macademia nuts and pens

Honestly, me thinks

Somehow they knew

my birthday

But infact nobody knew

It was just their heartfelt

kindness and their will to serve

and do

the best for a a disabled man

travelling alone
