Prodding the pigs being transported to slaughter

Meaningless gestures
Electrical prodding
Illogicality
inane and extreme
Hideous torture
And bogus enactments
Afflictions and angst
Hear each worrisome scream

Cow beef veal and god knows what

A cow that’s a female
A mother whose child
May have been kidnapped
The bodies are piled up
In the slaughterhouse
Sandwiches veal
Milk for your cream
What a sick deal it is
Pudding and cake
Death is so final
No give just take

Winter Solstice

Gather round Hare babies
All ears aloft
The Winter Solstice
When the woods appear soft
We can hear Mrs Owl
Hooting pure lullaby’s
When Badgers in Setts
Relax, when the guys
The foxes fix earths
When snow flutters free
When we all fill our beds
With the leaves from the tree
A time to hold fire
On our laurels to rest
And wait for the light
That will once again test
Us all

Leave the Wolves be

Killers of wildlife
Camouflage kings
Ambushing wild wolves
Which actually brings
The lifeless contempt out
Of those of us who
Respect the wild life
As so many do
The vicious the cruel
Who enter and kill
Insignificant others
Who just live to spill
The guts of proud wolves
It’s those hunters who should
Be locked up for Christmas
For that would be good.

Winter Solstice ritual in Anglesey

Feel that impassioned ritual
As Anglesey’s Druids
on a grassy hillock
With a cauldron below
Steaming it’s message
A Mistletoe
calling
The great sky above them
Their words
overhauling
The shortest of days
And the longest night
All sharing the wisdom
Of what is the light

A stirring account
A Ritual most high
The players committed
And we knew why
Robed participation
Moving along
Poetic embraces
Richly decked with song

Respect of the elders
Formerly they
With the winds off the sea
Not so far away
Beholden to the goddess
And to the Mari Lwyd
A wassailing spirit
No one doth avoid

Participants sparkle
All in good time
A ritual where spirit
And worship entwine
A Capricorn Solstice
Formidably
To the scent of the forests
And the call of the sea

Impassioned creatively
Hearts came to be
Beating together
In situ the free
Druidic brethren
Seemingly they
Drew down celestial
Moments today

Christmas is coming
A celestial time
An ethereal subsequence
To peacefully climb
To a place where
The tears of the Gods will appear
And Sporadic meteors
bringing us cheer

The very last moment

Animals sense that they are going to die
Being forced down the chute
In themselves they just cry
Hearing the agony up front what they
Do is back up and try to get away
It’s then, when the love in their life
Tends to be
Frighteningly obvious so frantically
They try to reverse even climb barriers they
Shudder and scream they just know it’s the day
Of their death..

Little Porkers

Ears sticking up
Being shunted along
The slaughterhouse beckons
The distance not long
Babies with good minds
Able to be
Thoughtful and caring
They’d love to be free
Instead soon throats cut
They will bleed on the floor
Farming for Pork
Is like going to war.

Harming

Cruelty to animals for margin and for profit
May seem very absolute
New tractors and the rest
But karma is delving deeper
And out there the dark reaper
May catch up and cause you I’ll
Even in the summer sun
People feel a chill

A beautiful Lobster boiled to death

Smiles all around
As the lobsters bound
For a furnace fest will cook
All the true life from his soul
Not a second look
His body blue like oceans
Suddenly turns red
Hell is for the eating
Our Dear friend he is dead
A soup for a paying customer
Dressed with Yuletide fair
Bad karma’s going to envelop
All the humans there

A Lobster’s Lineage

Of all the sexes a women
A feminine a mother possibly
Takes a beautiful Lobster
And drops him tragically
Into a pot of boiling broth
Hear that old soul scream
She thinks it’s a sizzle
The most a dreadful dream
As his life is ending
Boiled alive he be
Malicious and diabolical
Stolen from the sea
Blood lust absolute agony
A lobster naturally
Has an extensive lineage

Tessa’s Lamentation

The facts are that Tessa knew always that he
The ruddy faced farmer who laughed constantly
Was counting his shillings knowing that he
Had sold all the turkeys and that she would be
Plucked of her feathers and basted with fat
She wouldn’t see Santa
She knew where she was at
A stint in the oven after her strangulation
As for his karma this vile Turkey farmer
Would end up of course in a wild celebration
a perfectly dreadful yes machination

Fish farming

Fish farming

self harming

arrogance does

create a vile image

an organised buzz

On expectancy issues

,Let’s  vaccinate

salmon in Scotland

its something

I hate

The  sad proposition

of unnatural life

of undoing strategy

by creating strife

evil intention

Few prophets alas

dwelling on profit

they  create a morass

of sickly ambition

they film it they show

a future  where balance sheets

ultimately glow

in a soup of regret

in a unnatural stew

and compensate badly

for thats what they do.

I am that decoy

The duck is applying its communication
It’s telling it’s flock with a gentle oration
Stay stay away humanity stinks
They imprison my body but the tiniest chinks
In the armour are purposefully
Seen now and heard
For many appreciate
Just how absurd humanity is
Here

Foie gras

Murder by arrogance
Torture and pain
The birds wish to chortle
Expressing true pain
Being force fed
They choke as their poor throats become
So sore  and inflamed
And their bodies just numb
To the evil around them
The ugly the pain
Internal damage
With little to gain
Tears at a constancy
Terror the plight
To create a sick substance
Foie gras
More like shite
For groaners to scoff
A horrid disease
Created with violence

they suffer and wheeze

Watch them fall on their knees .

as shadows of ugliness

purposefully tease.

Disrespect of female animals

There is never an excuse
For such cruelty
Torturing the angels
It just can never be
An answer these dear mothers
Are forcefully raped and they
Have those babies
That are then kidnapped
What is there to say
News reports of evil
Why is it a shock?
It’s been happening for years
It’s standard

Christmas is coming

Killing animals to celebrate Christmas
Is sad I have to say
Turkeys proud young beings
Pigs they have a way
Of so loving their families
Underneath the sky
We have to ask the question
Why should so many die
Be dragged off to the slaughterhouse
Screaming in their soul
Little lambs and Pheasants

A living decoy

The average duck hunter
Lacks any compassion
Heartless these vagrants
True sense they ration
Abusing a duck by forcing it to
Act as a decoy to draw down a few
Innocent ducks flying on high
Seeing a wild duck no word of a lie
A meaningless act to attract
Just more birds
Such a cynical act
I am lost for words

Conversation with Rex by David Willis

Reverse his age
And thats almost me
A couple of years off
Me seemingly
Finland a happy place
Lots of deep snow
Happy birthday Dear David
From Rex yea you know
Met you in Glasto
Poems and all
Close to the abbey
Looking over the wall
I saw not a pussy cat but a white bear
If you believe that

Hi Rex. I love your poems, and I honestly could not wish for a better living testament. William Burges, the great Gothic Revival architect who devoted his life to medieval fantasy and excess, would have loved your comment about the regal white bear stealthily walking through the abbey. Thank goodness nobody else noticed but you, otherwise there might have been mass panic.

It’s funny you mention that. The forests here really do hold thousands of bears, lynx, and other creatures that feel almost mythical. Mind you, the elk here are even bigger than the brown bears, which feels excessive and slightly threatening.
Burges would absolutely have approved of a spectral bear wandering through sacred architecture. He designed half of Britain as if he expected that sort of thing anyway.

Farmers and female animals

This is a female animal
Chained and tortured by
A male whose got it in for her
As vegans we ask why
Such spitefulness such malice
On a female who
Was made by god to mother calves
Such rancour it is true
Sadism and savageness called farming kin to true callousness above all else
It’s pure torture that’s on view

Reptilian Hell

What sort of creep is this I ask
Reptilian prison kind of mask
Reality it seems to me
Constrictors inside aquariums
Tightly packed and left to be
Unnatural hot and sweaty
in an airless vile depravity
Stolen from the jungle they
Suffer enormously every day

Violence in plain sight

Degenerates
Stood there revering their violence, they
Probably bankers  and God knows who slay
Wild birds and wild hares Foxes and Deer
These offensive idiots from around here
Cults charged with killing wild life all day
They need a good hiding we should make them pay
I resent their offences their smouldering hate
They call themselves hunters they are the irate
Evil intentions such severity
Livid and bitter intolerably

The second Heart

It’s situated

below the knee

down to the heel

thats where it be

beneath the gastrocnemius

crucially it be

involved in venous blood return

and essential activity

known as the soleus muscle

For endurance it’s the one

for an upright posture

when all is said and done

a fatigue resistance muscle

Henrik Pedesen

brought it to our attention

a second heart

that will run and run.

Zoo’s hell holes fir the animal angels

Zoos ugly monstrosities
Fabled seemingly
To be the place where wildness is tamed regrettably
A prison for the innocent
Stripped out of the wild
And made to live a sentence
Totally defiled
With arrogance from humanity
With ignorance as well
Fed on what the keeper wants
It’s a most divisive sell

Who cares about cows and what they talk about

That’s just it they do speak their language
One of care and compassion
It’s just we don’t care
What little, we ration
We prefer to ignore
Let them bellow all day
Rape them kidnap their babies
Then pray
To our god telling him
That our margins are low
Unthinkingly obvious

Love hurts. Beyond the mirror

Great depth where such evidence
Rocks the emotion
Obliterates negative
Such the devotion
Given in flourish
Received in true soul
Evidenced clearly
By the purest control

Jetster’s real fear { A cautionary Tale}.

There is something out there

an ominous force

an evil foreboding

a symptom at source

the rampant high grasses

of long long ago

where the threatening midges

seemingly  grow

where phantom foxes

try to deter

with their cautionary bite

and that menacing whirr

a cat of my ilk

experienced to

A  new found freedom

such perfection felt true

Green shoots recovery

a renaissance in view

in quiet solitude

at the advent of dew

the wake-up

call came

with its teeth in my tail

a violent foreboding

an ingenious trail

an illusory aura

a holiest grail.

I will leave by the front

in the Ivy I be

true to myself

for I am  legendary

stalking has relevance

figuratively

a Cat flap is the answer

Brokering, dignity.

Snowdonia’s under skirt

Wales place of mystery
Ancient historic
Under the mountain paths
What can we see
Once mining minerals
Many were at it
Now it’s the cavers
Who breathlessly

enjoy
The utopian

1945

1945 it was

in a basket Yes I lay

fresh eyes fixed on the blue sky

through the windows

there on high

a German plane

no bluer eyes

Locked to mine

a true surprise

The swastika

Embolded  on his fuselage

then he was gone

between the houses

he had flown

a baby in a basket

the kitchen table I alone

For it was where

My mother left me

every morning.

Kshamenk

What a life

imprisoned

in a chlorinated tank

his lady friend

died years ago

the water it was rank

captured back in 92

Mungo Marina was

home to one sad long lost boy

imprisoned there because

Argentina wanted a wild and saddened soul

to show off to the punters

proudly  became their role

insensitive and cowardly

cruel to the point of woe

they put him through such terror

his love for her,  you know

was gloriously and believably

profound

and when she died

he perished a little every day

his captors though denied

the torture, that they put him through

heartless ignorant sods

left him pining in purgatory

to return to  past sea gods

A heart broken soul just mesmerised

By the  awful state  abroad

a life tragically

wasted
