Inconceivability

Be at cross purposes We
Skulking in the background
Was a monster actually

Who evaded detection
Back door, underhand
Furtive and evasive
Duplicitous and mendacious
So hard to understand
Insincere and treacherous
A massive sleight of hand
Negligence and cruelty
Horrific through and through
Unfounded and ungrounded
And totally untrue

A pathological liar
A charlatan a quack
Lots and lots of big talk
A calamitous attack
On grief, on woe, on suffering
On bodily harm and hurt
Iniquitous and sinful
Sweet bodies in the dirt

Obnoxiousness and rotten
Hurtfulness all day
Malignancy and spitefulness
Making the innocent pay
Suffering and Maltreatment
Pestilence and blight
Villainous decisions
A deleterious light
stinking and putrefying
Corpses everywhere
Tyrannise and victimize
An outrage of despair

Injury and trauma
A parlous
state of adversity
The vulnerable exposed
At the mercy of the shelter less
On thin ice no one chose
Unqualified inexpert
Disingenuous fraud
Is now a condemned prisoner
Who has fallen on his sword
