Chickens

Don’t call us nuggets
We are chickens
Breaded and gloriously
Living a feathery outcome
Together we all try to be
Egged on by silence and beauty
Soulful like nothing before
Chickens yes that is our make up
We live in a coop and are more
Excited to be called a chicken
Poultry a group name are we
We are not nuggets
We are
Chickens it’s really chickens you see
