“Sophia”

A street dog
She severely burned
Clearly in much pain
Lying by a motor bike
A hot water scald
A refrain
Of peacefulness about her though
We sedated and and shaved
An saw an extensive area
This lady clearly braved
Cleaning her and dressing her
She exhibited concern
But clearly was a trooper
That much we did learn
gradually she recovered
She loved the sun shine she
Loved to walk around the yard
Loved playing constantly

Loved her various cuddles
“Sophia” soon healed
She was a lovely animal
That was readily revealed
How she became scalded
One wonders but anyway
She is healed and ready
To again go on her way
Hopeful of a forever home
And we are sure she will
Find one soon dear “Sophie”
