Moon Goddess 2

With the gold and the brown
comes the headier gown
the colours of Autumn
transcend
all of creation
with some saturation
we realise it is our friend
the leaves fluttered down
and the branches were left
with fingers of hair
so clearly bereft
of leaf now the buds
are sleeping below
for thats how the beautiful
trees here do grow
The Moon Goddess
feels the wintry gaze
she uses extensions
with colours to raise
the golds and the lilacs
and beautiful red
and pitches the contrast
all over her head
boots high and chunky
leggings of grey
patterned in velvet
a lyrical way
a game with some black lace
with full sleeves for she
has a thick velvet bodice
of pique mystery
she carries a glow from
her lips and her eyes
a pair of strong gloves
and her muscular thighs
can master the roots
and the thickets afoot
she knows how to get through
the forest, and put
her beautiful form
through the dark ragged mass
she is so charismatic
this wild wondrous lass
the smoky white clouds
and the pillows of grey
gaze down on her form
and the forest today
there’s a glow from the sun
that’s intrepid and cool
we know winter’s near
from the odd frozen pool
The Moon Goddess smiles
I am with her today
she knows where to walk
yes she knows the way
that lilac mascara
projects a true hue
of a bygone rainbow
with some peacock blue
smudged into each other
one cannot but gaze
on the goddess for she
is so worthy of praise
a glow on her cheeks
and that wonderful hair
gets my fascination
for who can compare
with the artistry here
it is subtle and true
and reflects all we see
all around which just drew
my eyes to her face
and my heart to her side
in her thoughts I would hope
that we both can confide
in a forage of sorts
for some berries perhaps
or wild ceps, for our breakfast
now under the wraps
hiding, in the shadows
camouflaged by
the gold of the leaves
and the light that does try
our patience, our fortitude
and our prowess
with my Goddess I walk
and I talk now far less
