NOAH and the angels

An alien world
Left bereft of hope
Imagine a soul
It is hard to cope

Just inconsolable
Undone forlorn
In terrible pain
One’s mouth clearly torn

Terribly injured
Thirsty was I
I needed the drink
And there it did lie

But the bottle was broken
The glass everywhere
In my throat and my tongue
Overwrought with despair

Car after car
just passed me by
Nobody saw me
Or heard me cry

Or imagined me weeping
How long could I
Stand in this heat
Under this sky

So much joylessness
Filled up each hour
In the lowest of spirits
Left in the now

My dolefulness sinking
Into my soul
The gravity really
Beyond my control

Then an angel
Beside me
Quietly he came
Gently he offerred me hope
Without blame

A break in the clouds
Solace for me
I sighed with relief
My burden might be

Coming to an end
As another soul came
They lifted me carefully
The very same

Love they extended
All over me
I wagged my tail
Did all of you see?

A ray of comfort
My painfulness
Was starting to feel
I have to confess

The blessing of loving
Descended on me
I felt the care
That you could all see

They called me “Noah”
And just being where
Angels show love and respect
And they care

Cleaning my wounds
Understanding my woe
Dealing with my anguish
I just felt a glow

From one alien world
To another where care
Where calmness and love
Was spread everywhere

They made me feel wanted
Instinctively
So eager to help
So sensitively

Animal aid unlimited
They
Were beautiful humans
In everyway

I have such admiration
Their wonderment was
Something phenomenal
And just because

They felt my agony
They knew my pain
They brought me hope
With their joyful refrain
