Taiji’s sea pens

Imagine your freedom is taken away
You are driven and frightened
into taiji bay

Around you your family
Your whole family tree
Who are slaughtered in front of you
Thats where you be

Grief stricken broken
Your heart torn away
Because you are pretty
Thats what they say

You are put in a pen
And left there for you
May end up in sea world
A factor thats true

So you are in this sea pen
With the ocean outside
Lapping around
Is it all in your stride?

To carry on hoping
An open cage where
You are now in anguish
In the cold air

Meanwhile they sell you
To somewhere far away
You will be shipped there
And yea you will pay

It is your punishment for being
Alive
Thats why you are here
And they let you survive

No litigation no lawyer
No one
No one can see you
Under the sun

There is no tribunal
Here is where you stay
Until you are sold and taken aWay

Nothing to eat no where to go
Nobody loves you you are feeling so low

There is guilt how you left your parents
To die
You could have attacked yes by and by

Were you complicit you feel the shame
And really in essence you were not to blame

It was blood money so much remorse
Unspeakable villains who did this by force

The fisherman really are an aawful lot
their insincerity really was shot

Away by their actions
Their treachery here
They had no morals that was so clear

Just humililiation thats all you could feel
Derision and scoffing and such ridicule

Now being left in a pen in the sea
You had done nothing wrong
The illegitimacy

No food lack of pity unfeeling were they
Stone hearted uglies making you stay

In a small bamboo pen
With a great black cloud
over you now from today so not proud

Their evil eye was always on you
a loathing you felt
Yes all that was true

You were secluded left all alone
Maybe to die and before that to groan

They were just hostile in every way
You didnt feel loved no host for the day

An insolent people non entities
Humiliated and lost
Just got cold shouldered
That was the cost

A lack of wonder except in the sky
Overhead how it all changed in the wink of an
eye

They clearly dislike everything that they do
No bulldog courage frighted its through

Despite being pretty and therefore spared
You faced the tedium which you compared

To nothing we ever faced back in the sea
The contentment apparent
When we were all free
Now grief and sadness and onto despair
Was now taking over as we were aware
