The indigenous peoples
They believed the livestock of the land
When eating and domesticating them
Then by gods hand
The need was to get closer
To honour those we eat
Ritual animal disguise
Wearing the vanquished soul
This was how you grow closer
You take on their role
So what of All these fur coats
And fur items some wear
Are they getting close to them
Really are they aware
Are they living their lives
Understanding how
By sharing their dead bodies
They can get much closer now
Putting on the skins of animals
Drawing their energy
Becoming almost animal like
Is that how we be
Now we buy those fur items
Fashion statements they
Helping to balance the bottom line
That is why they pay
Attention to the marketing
There is nothing indigenous here
Its all about pure cruelty
And it stomps up the fear
The trappers make a pittance
The hunters make their stand
The animals cry and scream out loud
As they leave this land
The fur industry are charlatans
Bringers of great woe
Drawing back the constancy
And watching the painful grow
And grow they do in agony
In cages in the cold
Their poor feet torn to ribbons
And all before they are sold
Fur wearers you lack knowledge
You lack empathy you lack soul
You are very very ugly
And you have lost control
Of every sense you were born with
Allowing the corporate scum
To deny you all your ethic
And make you really dumb
