Hopelessness and despondency
A tsunami of woe
This comfortless situation
That by the day does grow
The grey suits have as much
To do with all of this for they
Misjudged the war in Iraq
And all of us now pay
Bush and blair
They both are where
Both should be in a jail
Illegal war they tried to score
Oil tried to derail
Everything and what we see
Is desperation here
People caught like rats in traps
Swallowed up in fear
A wave of such emotion
Burst the banks of true desire
Syrians and Afghans
Left their place of fire
To somehow get their families out
Of the melee in the sun
Of the bomb torn cities
Torn a sunder by the foreign gun
The minefield that was of our making
Has turned out to be
A bigger headache for the grey suits
And their infamy
Is on the ground you feel
A powder keg of woe
Individuals in the mix
The brinkmanship does grow
Great waves of desperate people
Running for their lives
Ignoring any danger now
Despite the range of knives
Out for them they care
Not
All they want to do
Is regain the lost freedom
For them thats good and true
The indifference of that women
That lovelessness she holds
Kicking out at a desperate child
She unsympathetically scolds
The innocence of those who try
And save themselves from hell
Its no disgrace to try to chase
The characterless as well
Its happens in a melee of desperation
They
are running for their lives in fact
To date they have had to pay
They have lost their homes
Their belongings
And all their paperwork too
All they have is the clothes they wear
Imagine that will you
