Edward Snowdon

A New York park gives rise
To a bust of Snowdon
Belief and an assurance
Some credibility
To a Nation and it’s people
A confessionary steeple
Whose truth and all it’s tenets
Clearly be

What Snowdon did was heroic
We all know that
Despite the state, the fear
The unquestionable, he
Stood his ground
and exposed
Their darkly secrets
Freedom from surveillance
And Liberty,
the schism of the
Drowned

Fort green Park was chosen
For the siting
and now he stares
across the grassy green
Convincing those who
Know of his involvement
Undoubting and unquestioning
The mean

May look upon this soulful
Installation
With bitter heart and eyes
Closed to what’s real
Others more enlightened to the science
Of it all
Will know exactly how this man
Did feel
