Pansy an old girl with a problem

She has been a companion

she had given such love, and she

knew the old girl loved her back

but some adversity

was imminent

she felt that

when her carer had to go

into a far nursing home

that is when you know

the worst is going to happen

the children we’nt the same

they did have the sense of care

their mother had

they claim

to be all that the mother was

but of course what they did do

was parcel me with my bed and carry cot

it is  its true

and take me to the pound

and dump me

not even say goodbye

just wipe their lousy hands of me

no care if I should die

thats their selfish nature

so many young today

haven’t got the time for us

and are not about to pay

one cent to help us anyway

just dump us on the door

Pansy I am a pansy

now that is for sure

they may eythanize me

that may be my plight

the old gal is beside herself

clearly she wasn’t right

and they could not put up with her

so they wouldn’t put up with me

this is heartless people

I am hopeful you might see

me and come and rescue

come and give me time

I will be loyal and caring

a companion I wont climb

on your beds or cushionsmy place is on the floor

I wont eat that much

all I ask is come for me
