Some make their way
through this life feeling they
are very important
where ever they stay
they are an integral part of the whole
they do have meaning
they do have soul
everyone else doesn’t matter a bit
the animals what are they
where do they sit
in the great scheme of things
that’s the factor of course
that’s the single most ignorant
thought, so a horse
than runs and that falls
and that dies on the ground
is replaceable
surely
that what he has found
but each soul is unique
each one of us does
come here as someone
with that vital buzz
when we think they are
things
purely chattels, then we
are also replaceable
and that clearly
shows ignorance
sadly and arrogance too
its a hollow expression
that’s sadly not new
the worth of each of us
must not be withdrawn
or overlooked
and I am so very torn
telling you this
for those who believe
we are replaceable
why would they grieve
why would they love
why would they care
they are replaceable
they are not there
