She is just one women Erik Cuellar

and her para biologists

working tirelessly

to maintain the vast

expanses of the Chaco

biodiversity

Argentina

Bolivia

Brazil

and Paraguay

each has its share

of this wilderness

and its endless

and magical sky

a land of complex

temperatures

an empty unique state

its relationship with its

people

its losing at a rate

a burden on the area

the corporate world of sin

the ranchers and the soy farmers

with their expansive spin

a true ruination

of the wilderness we know

destruction of what Nature

does and how it all does grow

the rugged hostile thorny exterior

where in hides so much

many types of animals

and so few, though are in touch

with the many indigenous people

the nomads that abound

the uncontacted groups that live

naked on the ground

the future isn’t cattle ranching

that’s a big mistake

the wilderness must be maintained

for everybody’s sake
