Medicine and its visionaries

The world of medicine has its established flavour

the errant world of the visionary  can too

both do have a latent inspiration

that charismatic fire that may burn through

one comprehends the new ideas

and heals and sees and feels

the experience

the journey

the edge  how that reveals

Barry Durrant Peatfield

was a genius who found

both paths led to where

he saw his future

the new ground

clinical and holistic

a meeting of great minds

the establishment

the majority

are closed

and so one finds

that concept of wholeness

of naturalness

was seen

but clearly not appreciated

not part of the scene

it should have been

a marriage made in heaven

but alas

established methodology

had found its own morass

clearly not bedfellows

in many ways a shame

for both are worthy of great things

in life’s so complex game

in either methodology

the meeting place appears

as far apart as ever

each with its own fears

those who straddle both ideas

are capable and strong

but often they are recognised

perhaps as being wrong

the basic tenet truthfully

both perhaps may say

neither one is right nor wrong

its just a different way

and if both do lead to success

and lives are saved then we

must herald those who

walk fresh paths

not harangue them

consciously
