I thought I was on holiday
Capone, they called me, I
named after some gangster
some Italian guy
not the kind of bloke I’d like
to be called after he
was what my previous owner
hoped that he could see in me
I am friendly I ‘m no hassle
I am lovely to be sure
I will not snap or bite you
I will sit by the door
and wait for you and lick you and love
you that is me
Please come and pat me feel my warmth
with you I want to be
I do feel kind of lonely
3 months in this pound
no where really that is mine
nn one I know around
I need to put my paws down
on a carpet of my own
I need a dish to eat out of
maybe a nice big bone
I need to sit down somewhere
beside the fire with you
come along and fetch me soon
I know I will love you
