Pigs are clean
but men are dirty
they keep pigs feeling dirty too
crowd them into stinking pens
and that makes them feel beside themselves
when they go to the slaughterhouse
they’re washed with jet sprays and gradually
herded down a ramp
where Death is waiting and they be
so aware that Death is near
they feel it smell it
sense it
fear
overcomes them and they scream
its like some weird horrific dream
some vile nightmare
as they do
walk more slowly
straight into
the killing place
their cries we hear
as the knife goes in
a final tear
each pig in turn
is sick with the pain
and cries out one last time
but that is in vain
one after the other
they twitch and die
one after another
they truthfully cry
one after another
and when you hear
what they go through
you feel that fear
it will be with you
all your life
at the moment the butcher
thrust in the knife
at that very moment
you feel that pain
its so intense
and yes again
in those quiet periods
you will feel
that pain again
and it seems so real
can you feel it
if you can
make bloody sure
that pork you ban
remember the pigs
remember them all
they went to their deaths
they answered your call
they were in such pain
they had so much fear
give up pork
now is that clear!
