The minds of animals ( and what we as consumers can do for them and ourselves)

How arrogant man has become
he tells us as if he knows
that animals are like children
in that case, they should pose
a significantly more serious problem
for our slaughterhouses, who
torment and torture every hour of every day
a view
that most just do not contemplate
a baby does feel pain
its very very sensitive
so the animals clearly gain
a great deal from the experience
of the torment and torture, we
dole out to them accepting their feelings
naturally
so to my mind its more horrendous
the way they are treated, we
now witness dreadful suffering
for our milk and meat for tea
for the veal and eggs
for the chicken korma
animals do cry
their heads off in such agony
as more of us now die
of cancers it is rife today
auto immune disease, too
what we allow along the way
for the animals my view
is karma repays those of us
who allowed this coup d’etat
to happen really in our name
so this is where we are
we must stop, all this torture
we must stop, all this pain
the farm animals are being
murdered time and time again
they are also being tortured
almost everywhere
and it seems to be the given thing
a life of pure despair
so we need to take an interest
we need to please ensure
that we as consumers of them
must give them something more
we must fight for them
and see that they
are treated with more care
and this will go some way
I feel to
improving the lives we share
