Italian wild fires and their perpetrators

Was it those perpetrators

a bane on kingdom come

just gross and wretched evils

that leave us feeling numb

hurtful and morbidity

oppressive cruelty

tying lighted rags

to the tails of cats

and let them free

to dash

around wild forages

painfulness extreme

setting fire to environments

execrable and obscene

imagine how pathetic

how injurious and wrong

harmful and prejudicial

it just does not belong

in Italy of all places

accursed they malign

the animals and other souls

and people too

surely there’s a sign

of spitefulness and evil

lamentable disgrace

the poor animals debasement

running about the

place

causing utter chaos

threatening us all

an affliction of madness

and of breaking every rule
